Delivery Status: Delayed

I'm using Outlook...the most recent one. I got that 
"Delivery delayed, you do NOT need to resend e-mail." 

This is all well and good, but I'd like to know, will I receive a Delivery notification status when the message finally arrives? 

It's a rather urgent e-mail, to a foreign body, so I can't necessarily call them.
